The Old Arbat
Arbat is the one of the most famous streets of Moscow. Exotic street name comes from the Arabic word "arbad" ("rabad"), meaning "suburb". Perhaps the word has been brought to the Russian capital by the Crimean Tatars or Arab traders in 15th century. In Arbat have settled artists, musicians and street performers. Here is a big variety of cafes and restaurants, also an active trade of souvenirs. Besides, here are located: Vakhtangov Theater, restaurant “Prague”, museum-houses of some prominent figures of Russian history as well, such as Pushkin, Lermontov, Marina Tsvetaeva, B.Okudzhava, etc. And there is a memory wall of Victor Tsoi in the Krivoarbatsky side street.

Memory wall of V.Tsoi
The Wall has "appeared" in 1990, when someone, after news of the death of Viktor Tsoi, high, through the wall, wrote in black color: "Today, Viktor Tsoi was killed." In response, someone else attributed, "Tsoi is alive." From August to frost it had been always crowded by teenagers. But after a memorial of forty days, the number of people reduced. Only the most persistent stayed. Later, there are appeared some other comments. And also the portrait of Victor, the same one that was showed in the Fall concert to his memory was installed to this wall.

Vakhtangov Theater
In the heart of Arbat Street there is a large building decorated with columns which is known to diffrent generations of muscovites. Bulat Okudzhava Monument

The decision to commemorate Bulat Shalvovich - was taken by Boris Yeltsin right after the poet's death. On June 19th, 1997 was issued an order to perpetuate his memory. On May 8th, 2002 was the opening of a monument to the poet Bulat Okudzhava in Moscow. It is installed at the intersection of Arbat street and Plotnikov side street.

Red Square

Cathedral of Christ the Savior
